The studebaker story is is one of those classic entrepreneurial stories.Brothers Clement and Henry Studebaker were blacksmiths making parts for mining wagons.Their success making wagons during the goldrush was the seed from which a mighty company was born.The family run buisness began manufacturing complete wagons, traps, military vehicles and an electric car and subsequently a petrol engined car. Studebaker merged with Packard in 1954.
